Hi,
I am a Dutchman living in the US and presently Scratch building the Zeehaen at a scale of 1:37.5. It is a Dutch fluit from the Dutch Explorer Abel J. Tasman. I plan on building both ships. Ab Hoving has been a great help in building the fluit.
Book: The Ships from Abel Tasman.

Plans: Cor Emke

I have been building model ships on and off all my life. My building interest lies in Dutch shipbuilding and architecture of 17th century Dutch merchant ships.

My other interests are Dutch naval history between 1550 to 1820, which is pretty much the VOC. (Dutch East indies company).
Deciduous tree bonsai collection and my edible garden.

I am familiar with this company. Hans, one of the owners, scratch built the Batavia and displayed the build on ModelShipWorld. This was when he was about to start his company.

The models from kolderstok are accurate and beautiful. If I ever decide to do a kit again I am getting it from kolderstok.

Also from my side a warm welcome here on board of our forum.
Would be great to see your actual work in a building log ....
