Hello I am Frank from Cedar Michigan and I am building a Laughing Whale Fantail Launch, I am hoping to get ideas here as the instructions aren't the greatest. I am a Navy veteran serving on the USS Barney DDG6 and currently the president of the Great Lakes Scale Modelers Club. I am only the president because no body else wanted to do it. You all sure have some beautiful models here.

Also, please start a build log, real simple. With a log, you can post photos of what your doing, ask questions and get help when needed.

Hiya tincan sailor! Welcome to our forum. I used to sail too, only on cargo ships and supertankers.

My son would really like you. He recently moved to Duluth and became a complete Freighter Nerd. On my last visit we took a tour of the Meteor Whaleback Freighter. The kid doing the tour suggested the group to back down the ladders, I said no self respecting Destroyer man does that and went down forward. I remember sliding down those, these days not so much.
