Hello from New Orleans

I don't think you'll need the oscilloscope for the Longboat..... ROTF
I love the look of the diamond plate plug strip though.
Thanks Jeff, one of my other hobbies in repairing vintage Fender Tube amps, the scope comes in handy. Working with wood will be a nice departure from electronics, you can't get electrocuted by wood. ROTFROTF

Some of those capacitors can really pack a wallop ! But you also can't plug in your electric guitar to a wood ship model and expect to hear it any better. :)
I'm also an amateur radio operator. :) W9CE

Nice!! I work for a company that builds radio dispatch systems for trains and other industries. Not the same as HAM radios but I am very familiar with radios. We also do the public address systems and signage for most of the public transit rail systems across the US. If you have ridden a train in a major city you have probably seen and heard my work.

Welcome to SoS, John. I have many fond memories (and some fuzzy ones) of New Orleans. NO will always have a special place in my heart, being the city where my son was conceived

Hi John, welcome to Ships of Scale! It is nice to hear from someone from New Orleans. I was born and raised there, though I now live in North Carolina. I started my ship modeling with the exact same model about 8 years ago! This site has been a great resource and I know you will have the same experience. It would be nice to make contact with you if you would be interested. Just send me a private message though this site. I wish you " Happy modeling"

Welcome aboard John. Where do you hail from?
I am a retired Electrical Engineer and used O'scopes and the like for many years.
