Hello everyone from Northern Virginia!
I recently inherited five large wooden model ships kits and I don't know that I'll get to them anytime soon.
Revell "Museum Classics" USS Constitution, length 36" height 27"
ARTESANIA LATINA Mayflower Galeon, ref 20413
"Cutty Sark Wood Ship Model", Kit 163-1895
Mantua Model USS Constitution ART. 779
c. mamoli divisione modelliismo navale, HMS Beagle, art. MV 20
BUT!
Among the kits were two small Mantua lifeboats(?), "ART 641" stamped on the balsa wood sheet with cutouts. The cut out pieces seems simple enough, but the kits came with five small slats each, not enough to plank the hull or deck? I was told they might be for duckboards, but, of course, no instructions with the kits.
So, if anyone is interested in the kits, I'm not sure what they're worth, but happy to take a drive.
For the lifeboats, any suggestions welcome!
