Hello!
Very new to this hobby. Coming from several years of plastic modeling and tall ships.
I've always loved the elegance of wooden ship model. Always wanted to do my own and now being retired I can put my time and effort into them.
I just received my first ships. The three beginner level ships from Ships ways and eager to get started. Taking my time though reviewing many videos for how to's.
And putting together my tools. I should be ready this Saturday.
Is there ANY well recommended book(s) for beginners like myself?

Hello Damon and welcome aboard. Below are four books that I have used to help me along the way. The booklet from Model Expo was very helpful in getting me started. Although they are more specific, Ship Modeling from Scratch and Building Plank-On-Frame Ship Models have been very helpful also. The two book set from Harold Underhill are dated, but provide a lot of very good information. I don't use many powered tools in my construction, so the Underhill books have given me lots of insight on building with hand tools.

Welcome to the forums !
The Mastini book Ship Modeling Simplified is great as is the book by Mondfeld called Historic Ship Models.
