Started making plastic aircraft models when I was 7 years old - still remember my first kit a Grumman Avenger, then branched into Airfix 1/600 scale ships followed by 1/700 scale waterline ships. Next up made some paper models which I thoroughly enjoyed. Spotted a wooden kit of the Bounty on sale at a Hobby shop many years ago and bought it, has been gathering dust since but I do intend to make it one day. Currently short of room but looking to get my hands dirty again. Will try a simpler boat model before I tackle the Bounty.
