Just spotted your post and hope you will have a build log to share with us. The admiral and I just did a holiday tour in Ireland that included a few days in Cork so we spent a day in Cobh where Titanic had her last port of call. Many interesting photos and some nice ship models there. It was even more interesting as we can look in one direction and see the church that so many visited before leaving Ireland in the 19th century and in the opposite direction was a Princess cruise ship. Sorry for long delay in replying. Every time I sit down to do something I seem to get a phone call or something pops up!
I bet it was quite poignant to stand there thinking of all those people travelling to new lands and ofcourse the poor souls on the Titanic. All going to plan I hope to visit the White Swan, Alnwick next April as there are many interior panels from the RMS Olympic in the hotel.
I've not modelled for a good number of years so I will use the Airfix Titanic as a practice to get back into it. After that I will post my build, not sure what to build yet though, am thinking of either the Heller Soleil Royal or the San Felipe from Occre. Very different models I know but those are the two I've had in my sights for a long time.
