Thankyou for letting me join, this forum has helped many times when I've had a quandary about my ship build and the mine field of information you need to learn so decided to join.
I've only been building for about four years, starting off with various plastic models but I was gifted the Mantua H.M.S President wooden ship in 2022. Not realising what I let my self in for going from plastic to a wooden ship, it didn't turn out so well as you can see from the image but it was a great learning experience. I now have a passion for wooden tall ships and a interest in 16th and 17th century. I have The Mary Rose on my shelf to build but I am now on my second build Occre Revenge which I've been building on and off for about two years. its not perfect as I am still learning and not exact to the instructions due to some mistakes and preferences but happy so far. I look forward to learning from my fellow peers.
