I build wooden, resin, plastic, metal ships. Right now I’m to working on Langton's 1/1200 metal ships, Napoleonic era , also GHQ. Anyone paint, build, rig 1/1200? Would love to hear from you for any tips.

I have trouble seeing at 1:200 let alone 1:1200 but hope to see some photos of your work, especially metal to build ships from the Napoleonic era. Sounds very interesting.

The 1/1200 arnt to hard, I’m working on 3 - triple gun decks, lots of detail for something that small. I am rigging them now, needs a lot of patience. Langton ships are metal, everything,can’t drill holes, while GHQ all putter, drill holes for rigging, great detail and ship parts Langton don’t make, anchors, ships boats are extra,
Nice photo etch shrouds-ratlines, also you pick sails, variety, get masts, a stern with windows,no flashing, or seams. I use two color thread for rigging. You can also buy bases for any ship. Langton is in England, shipping is high, they told me a US website and only sell Langton ships and parts. Everything is cheap to complete a ship, huge selection of everything.

Try a 1/1200 all eras. They look pretty good, I’m a war gamer too, land or sea or air.

I have checked out Langton miniatures, WOW these tiny models are fantastic given their size. One could recreate a diorama of a naval battle scene at this size if you have the dexterity.

Thankyou for introducing me and probably quite a few others to a side of this hobby we never knew existed

I am at 1:160, sorry. I am afraid if I sneezed, my 1:1200 project would disappear forever! Anyway, welcome and be sure to post your build log.
