Started my ship model building few months back, when my elder kid got a school project of building a cardboard ship. My younger ones were fighting over it, and I decided to build one for them(actually I built my own school project and won my reward too). I named it Isabella after one of my youngers.
It was quite satisfactory process, and I decided to build my next one. I googled and sorted some relevant material, started my next project, the HMS Victory. it has been a while and I put it on-hold as I am on a prolonged business trip overseas, and would continue it late August.

The next item on my wishlist would be something of substantial historic significance. The first name pop up in my mind is the French Sail Frigate L'Hermione. any other suggestion?

Welcome to the forum and have fun. A beautiful ship, will there be a construction report?

also from my side a warm welcome here on board of our forum
Great school project - you did a very good job -> I can only hope, that my small daughter will have also such cool project to make
Hermione is a very good and interesting ship, there is f.e. also a very detailed planset / monograph existing

and you could make with your children a visit of the original

thank you. That's amazing guidance!
actually, I also suggested to her to join the crew as an apprentice when she comes to age.
