Hello all!

I'm not a traditional model maker, that being said I have been making 3D USS Naval ships of sail for use in the VTT Talespire. Doing research for the USS Enterprise (1812), 14 gun Brig of war, I ran across this site and found some great visual help for the build. Currently working on the USS Constitution 1799 and the USS Pennsylvania (1837) which am seeking floor plans and the such for. I use them as battlemaps for the game and I like to try to get them right so having floor plans of the inside of the ships showing ladders, galley, quarters and the little attention to the anatomy of the ships is fantastic.

Welcome to the forums !

I started to use the D20 VTT for in in-person game so I could use the "fog of war" ability, but the store closed down, so I'm back to using a physical map. :)
For those that don't know, VTT is Virtual Table Top and is used for games involving battle where players can be anywhere in the world with an internet connection.
Many use it for Dungeons and Dragons. Some others use it for "scale" battles like between sailing ships.

Welcome aboard!!!

Assuming you are in contact with Kate Monea and Carl Herzog of the curatorial staff at the USS Constitution Museum for information but for deck plans of the others how is that going?

For Enterprise and Pennsylvania there may be drawings in the US National Archives, Library of Congress, Preble Hall, or the Smithsonian. Grant Walker at Preble Hall would be a good contact to get some direction. You could also contact member/administrator Dave Stevens for help. See the posts here at SoS

Sorry to go off topic, but please send your son my thanks for his service. I can relate as our youngest retired several years ago from the US Army after 21 years active duty in Army Aviation.

Thank you, I will. Please send your son our thanks as well. I just retiredfron the US Army with 22 years in logistics/recruiting in January.
