Good afternoon,

Writing from a beautifull and sunny Kommetjie, Western Cape Province (South Africa). Currently 31 degrees.

I am going to try my hand at the Hobby Boss 1/700 Typhoon submarine. At this stage the fit between the two hull halves (upper and lower) looks good, and may require less effort than the joint on the Hobby Boss (1/700) Akula class.

Now, I need some advice on painting this model when done. On the included leaflet, as well as some pictures on the internet she is painted in black (upper hull) and with a cocoa brown/red brown/hull red red/brown lower hull sporting a white stripe. Very grand indeed. And then I saw this picture on the internet as well. A Typhoon in the dry dock - and as far as I can see not a white stripe or red brown hull in sight. I have no background on the picture but would love to hear the advice and commentary on how to present the Typhoon I am currently working on.

Thanking you all in advance.
