I must be missing something because the drawing and the photo look like they're positioned the same....Sheet 1 figure 11 part number119 and 120.
here it shows the narrow part forward, but in the book the photo shows the narrow part aft.
Which is it and does it matter?View attachment 337739View attachment 337740
Off center? Not likely. Parallax.I see what Paul is referring to but I can't answer his question. The square cutouts of each part shown in the dwg and in the photo are off center fore/aft.
To complement your answer just a bit, Jim; there are cutouts in some of the deckbeams, matching the holes in parts 119 and 120 ánd in the pré-printed, pré-cut foredeck part. If you decide to follow the building instructions and using the kit-supplied parts, you better make sure parts 119 and 120 are positioned correctly. If, on the other hand, you start to do a little scratch building by planking your own foredeck, it's less relevant, although the posts/bitts being inserted into those holes may result in a little angular deviation, relative to the deck.To really answer your question you will need to read forward in your instructions to determine what part fits to the square openings in parts 119 and 120. Then, from the those parts, determine if sitting forward or aft is critical for the part placement…
