Hi my name is Tony, first thing I would like to wish everyone a happy and prosperous new year.
I have always been interested in models and wooden ships, the first wooden ship model I completed was a Mamoli Rattlesnake then I started a Corel Unicorn. As we where moving house I packed the model away and that's how it stayed for nearly 25 years something I never had time to restart.
Back in October I was retrenched which ment I could get back into modelling, I started with two naval guns from modelexpo which l had purchased a few years ago. These went well and when finished I decided to start a new ship model.
After reading the SOS build logs I ordered a ZHL Golden edition Black Pearl and now I'm up to the second planking.

Have a great time and look at all the build logs of the Black Pearl

They may help you when you get stuck and don't know what to do next.

Please start a build log so we can pull up a chair and keep watch and help when needed. That is what I love about the SoS group, they are willing to give you answers when needed.

also from my side a warm welcome here on board.
Your battle station is looking very good - very accurate build
Would be very good, if you show us your build of the Black Pearl in a building log....

Welcome aboard! Thanks for sharing the pics of the naval cannons. I have the long gun waiting on my workbench; next on my project list once I finish the yacht America (Corel) that I'm working on.
