Hi from Scotland,
Since retirement, I have built several plastic planes and three ships. The last one being the, Joy Yard Missouri 1/350.

I am now endeavouring to build the OcCre Bounty Launch which I understand is a good, ‘beginner’ build. Looking at other build’s there is no doubt that I will be looking for some help & encouragement. This is a totally different ball game!

Many thanks for having me on board and please be aware of some, ‘basic’ questions…

Take care,
Blaise

Welcome to the forum Blaise, were all a friendly crew,
Best regards John,

also from my side a warm welcome here on board of our forum

Reading your thread, here is a picture of the Bounty Launch I made
prior to building the HMS Bounty which was my first model ship
that I built.
Enjoy your build of the launch and maybe it will entice you to build
the Bounty itself.

Hi,
Many thanks to all – feeling good to be on board.
Winova: Brilliant build! If mine turns out to be half as good as yours I will be very happy!

A wee bit apprehensive in getting the bulkheads perpendicular to the keel..?
From what I’ve gleamed, LEGO seems a good option.
I was also thinking about a laser level… but OTT?

Take care.

By the way, I forgot to mention I tea dyed the sails to get the
color of the sails you see on the model.
My home is in Nova Scotia ( New Scotland ) Canada .
I too welcome you aboard the Forum .
Cheers Winova

Good idea - dying the sails with tea. When I reach that stage, I'll have go!
