It's looking great mate!
I must say, I'm very impressed with your obvious craftsmanship and the way you have done this model so far.
I was going to buy this kit years ago, but decided to do something very similar to the ROYAL CAROLINE instead.

By accident I came into possession of the same kit:) When it is going to be built, I will not give it to other hands :) Of course, even more modifications will be made than the previous one :)

I hid the 9V battery in the hold making a package out of it. With such a long cable that it can be hidden under the package. The switch is behind the rod, longitudinal frame such as the airplane one so that it does not get damaged. I made two soldering points from old electronic boards. One in the front, one in the back, because of the cargo space, I didn't want to let go of so many cables
The calculator will do the rest. I connected max 3 LEDs in series and to a common solder point whit 1 resistor. It's just in case some LED dies Ideally they should be made on plugs in case of replacement. Today it all depends on your fantasy.
I have one more such set. Someone traded with me for another ready-made model, the next one will be even more spectacular :)

My private collection is growing strong :) All models in the photos below are 1: 100 1:64 scale and bigger :) 2.5 m long max :)
Each one built from scratch. This is an absolutely professional work. All in museum quality.
Maybe one day I will post some models on the forum :)
