Hello, I’m back! I had a little abandoned the models but I just acquired the one of the canoe of the Bounty (Artesiana Latina).
This is my second wooden creation (the first was a sampan).
I had some difficulties with the bow lining but we learn by practicing.
I attach some photos on the progress of the project.
There is still some work (or rather leisure!)bounty_canot_00.jpgbounty_canot_01.jpgbounty_canot_02.jpgbounty_canot_03.jpgbounty_canot_04.jpgbounty_canot_05.jpgbounty_canot_06.jpgbounty_canot_07.jpg

Lovely work on your ship's boat.

FWIW the Bounty carried a single banked jolly boat but it was rotted through and was not the boat used on the famous voyage with Bligh and company, but rather the 23 foot double banked launch was used as it was the only boat large enough and seaworthy. Bligh indicates in his memoirs that the launch had been refitted to carry two masts earlier in the voyage of the Bounty. The following drawing is probably more clear than my text. :) The davit and windlass were probably not in place when they made the famous voyage after the mutiny.
