The trumpeter HMS Hood is another 1/350 scale model and will build out to 30 3/4" long. As usual it's highly detailed but is an easier model to build with less parts than a bigger model. I'd say this would be great for a beginner and at $120 it won't break the camels back financially. The box is 30 3/4" x 9 3/4" x 3" and weighs 2lbs 12oz.
