Good morning; I hope all are having a great summer.

I have the excellent book plan-set monograph of Bonhomme Richard 1799 by Jean Boudriot. (Purchased through Ancre in France) I am looking for complete as can be documentation / dwgs to purchase for the Indefatigable 1794 (Ardent Class) I have just purchased Mr Wattons Indef. I must be blind or keyboard challenged trawling these forums and the Inet.

Any assist would be appreciated.

Have a Great Navy day

Is this enugh info for you?

You can order prints of these plans I believe, or download to print yourself in some cases.

There are 19 free high definition plans of the Ardent 1764, 1782, and 1796 on the WikiCommons site. https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/Category:Ship_plans_of_the_Royal_Museums_Greenwich page 1.
The Indefatigable (launched in 1784 and commissioned in 1794) was part of the Ardent (64) 1764 class with included Nassau 1785, Agamemnon, 1782, and others so maybe better to use the drawings for Ardent 1764 rather than the drawings of Ardent 1782. Or download all of them and compare them. There are some differences including a coal hole on the 1782 version and the location of the stations on the keel are a little different. With the wide spread of years for the Ardent 1764 class there may also be some confusion as Ardent 1764 was renamed Tiger in 1783 even before Indy of the Ardent class was launched in 1784. In any case I think it is safe to say that the high resolution drawings of Ardent 1764 will be appropriate for Indefatigable 1784. You may want to search the National Archives in Kew to see if they have a contract for Ardent 1764 or possibly Indefatigable. There may be one for Agamemnon at Buckler's Hard where she was built as well. (There is a contract for Ardent 1782 at RMG but may not be applicable in all respects.) There is also a contract at RMG for the Nassau 1785 dated 18 December 1782 which was part of the Ardent 1764 class so probably very useful. You can also use the Shipbuilder's Repository for scantlings as well, as they should be very close. These can be found in the original book on-line for about $400 or in The Scantlings of Royal Navy Ships which includes the scantlings from the Establishments 1719-1750, The Shipbuilder's Repository and Steel's Elements and Practice of Naval Architecture available at Seawatch Books for $45. I have two extra copies if you are interested.
I for one look forward to your build!
Allan
