Thank you for following my build friends. I am using this drop plank technique and i am happy with the result. But most of modelers use the spilling (edge bending) method. As far as i have learned, both techniques were used to build real ships.

I completed the first layer of hull planking. I cut the bulkheads extentions and reinforced the bulwarks before inner plankings.

Hello Zoltan. In real the hull part below waterline of Pickle was covered with copper plates but because i don't have copper plates i will cover with 0,5 mm of mahogany veneer. Upper part of the hull will be painted.

I made the model carrier and I have started deck planking. I am using 1,5x6 mm of walnut strips on the deck. Because of long distance; I added extra plank supports between bulkheads 4-5, 5-6 and 6-7.

I painted hull and started coppering. I am using self-adhesive tape of copper. I made a jig for doing false rivets of copper plates.

Good steady progress. Keep it up, Mustafa! Good work on the rudder and deck furniture. I found that tapering the octagonal windless barrel was a pain, but really important to the look of the windlass. Your coppering looks spot-on. Well done!

Did try with tape on the S.T. with bad result finally did them with Mantua copper plate your result is a lot better Ho yes a lot better
