hi all, I've been working on this project for a number of years now, and have maybe 10% more to go- but I thought I would try to collect the photos from along the way into a build log here. Hopefully to get the inspiration to finish the job, and get her into a nice case/display. Originally intended as a gift to my brother, though he now claims he doesn't have the space! It's his fault for making me watch Master and Commander, which got me reading Patrick O'Brian! I shall go from lurker to participator :)
cheers- Scott
(ps original build log was started at DeAgostini's ModelSpace in 2018, last post there was back in 2020... ModelSpace link)

June-July 2018- decking, planking and trying black monofilament at the butts (drill holes, insert line with CA, shave off excess with razor blade). I later went with pencil dots. I also tried bundling the planks and spray painting the edges black before laying them, but that gave too heavy a line in my opinion, so I reverted to pencil on one edge of each seam, only.
