It is finished - well I finished it back in June but due to a number of factors ie lazyness!!!!!!!! have not posted the final result. For the first time ever I actually meet in person someone who has been following my posts of this model build. He came round yesterday to look at the Caldercraft Victory which I am selling due to lack of space (2 Victories, Sovereign of the Sea, Sopwith Camel, Riva, two other ships models plus 2 trains do take up alot of room.......)

Rigging was rather a pain to do - as I have said before the instructions were virtually non existent, however the plans do show where the rigging went so with the use of the plans and some other plans downloaded I managed to complete it. Yes it is a bit of a muddle in parts however the now completed it does look good. One problem was the colour of thread supplied just did not look right - it is almost beige. I replaced it with 1mm thread from Caldercraft (as I used on my Caldercraft Victory) and it seemed to work out better.

Having completed the Ocree version of the Victory I must say despite its full set of sails I still prefer the Caldercraft version - this is due to its copper plated bottom. If I could go back to the hull stage of the Occre model I think I would cover one side of the hull with copper plating and leave the other side with the Oak ribs exposed - in fact Occre do supply extra thin wooden strips to cover the hull

Enclosed some photos plus one of the Caldercraft Victory for comparison purposes

Now I have to work out which model to do next - just finished the Occre Pacific train. Am considering the Occre Adler or if I feel bold the Amati Orient Express sleeping car; decisions, decision - still Christmas is coming......

Looks amazing - I’m still cutting gun ports but cracking on. Managed to get the ports/templates in right place - your tip on checking centre with cannon very helpful
