I read the post regarding whether Victory had side entry ports & davits, which led me into my own search. I found this interesting post on 'google':- “martyndowner.com >sale highlights > historic model of HMS Victory”. (I dunno how to add a link: so you'll need to do a Google search. Apparently it was built during the “Big Rebuild” of 1800-1803, builder unknown, but there is 'provenance'. Very informative, the photos showing lack of entry ports & davits, also a pale yellow indicating an approx. 50/50 mix of white & yellow (as some records quote), & yellow gun port lids as prior to Trafalgar.
