Interesting project - maybe it would be good to start a building log, so others can assist and give hints directly
 
Just go this kit, will start in a few weeks. Mines the newer versions , be interesting to see if there are any variations.
Quick look - typical Panart - image on plans in italian with english text only translation provided in separate document.

I do know Keith julier had issues with the armed pinace kit.
