HMS Victory main yard

Hi guys
I am building HMS Victory. Just a small question re main yard which is attached to mast by means of a cross jack sling. Shld the sling be served or not ? Thnks for yr help.

Hi Sarge, thanks very much for your suggestion which i will be taking. Thanks also for the picture. Alot of models lack this serving unfortunately. Best regards.
