The first all iron, big gun turreted steam powered and no sails warship ever built still exists. HMVS Cerberus the breastwork monitor completed in 1870. Named after Cerberus the guard dog of Hades. Sadly now a rusting hulk serving as a breakwater in Port Philip Bay Australia. It still sits mostly above water with its turrets and big 10 inch guns in place but part of the hull has now collapsed. I used to swim around it when I was a kid and play on the deck. For anyone interested a model is available as a free card model download here.
