The Hobby Boss Typhoon build was in the end a pleasant build. The parts were nicely detailed and apart from the hulls fitted well. Fitting the hull halves left a prominent joint that had to be cleared up. That was also my experience with two other kits from this manufacturer. But I will get more of these submarine kits as they look quite decent when they are done. There are a few US Navy subs waiting to be build.
For the base coats I have used Tamiya's rattle cans and for weathering and effects I have used Abteilung 502's Naval and Grey Effects set (oil paints but when one uses a card board palette, most of the oils are soaked up whichs moderately improves the drying time of the oils). It is a lovely product.
