Ice is so wonderful, it can help with swelling and pain, it can also cause swelling and pain lol. When you see your feet in the air parallel to the roof of your car, your in trouble lol.
Yes down I went down on the ice all 285 lbs of me. Landed on my right arm, which I felt right away. The next day lower back , neck and of course the right arm was painful.
Nothing broke thank goodness, but it feels like I will be out of commission for awhile. Lol I tryed tieing some ratlines today, well one clove hitche and yep, going to take some time off.lol.
It will give me time to do research for my Astrolabe. Take care my friends, I will return.

Hi Bobby Sorry for the difficulty you find yourself in. I once took my Australian wife to the top of a slushie Grouse mountain in Vancouver many years ago so she could see snow for her first time. Conseuently I landed flat on my back in the wet cold mess of slush and ice. I paid a couple of hundred bucksto get her and mysefl up there. As I lay in the mess I though I just paid good money for this as she was laughing her A off. I have lived in subtropical part of Oz ((Newcastle) for 30+ years now an will die a happy man if I never see another snowflake as long as I breath.

@RickNoyes years ago I would have slipped and laughed it off as well But many years latter and many more pounds added on , you don't laugh as much. And it takes longer to get over it. I tryed again this morning it is a no go again. Maybe next week I hope, one can only do so much research lol. Time to get building again. On the mend back at it soon
