Dear friends,
We need to inform you that customers are being targeted by a web spoofing scam involving our brand image.
We don't know the exact scope of the scam or which countries it affects, but we are aware of at least three URLs that are copies of our website, offering our catalog in a supposed clearance sale with deep discounts. The scam is being advertised through various Facebook and Instagram accounts.
We are taking the appropriate legal measures to try to stop this activity.
Our website is artesanialatina.net, no other.
Thank you for your understanding.

I don't know if it's a scam, but i visited again official page AL pointed, and i don't see those sale discounts there? So @Artesania Latina where are those deep discounts? :oops:ROTF
I'm hoping you were making a poor attempt at being funny.

The scammers list deep discount prices on their fake websites, hoping to entice people to purchase from them... and obviously the money is taken but no goods will ever be shipped... because it's a scam. Artesania Latina is not making any deep discount offer on their official website.

Related aside... I'll be watching Facebook closely and if I see any of the scammer ads pop up there, I'll be sure to report them to Facebook as well as comment on them that they're fake and to be avoided. Facebook is becoming infamous for the amount of scammer activity that's showing up in people's feeds. It always makes me angry when I see this sort of thing, because it's damaging to the legitimate company's reputation, and because the scammers are taking advantage of people's trust.

Is it funny that i buy products on official manufacturer's website in normal prices?

Of course, it is completely funny to me and i do not intend to hide it. People let themselves be fooled like little children. I buy products honestly on AL website and that is why i get discount coupons to next buy or shipment to use. I have never once asked for anything like some puppets on YouTube.
If someone lets themselves be fooled, well, it's their problem.
That is what the official newsletter is for, that is what YT AL channel is for, that is what official AL website is for, that is what information on AL Facebook is for - to support them and not to cheap eaten in on promotions. Buy, do not prey and the problem of scam will be solved...
Think what you want, at least i support industry legit.

Your initial reply, which I commented on, came across as if you were asking AL why they weren't offering the same huge discounts. That seemed odd, but I'll now chalk it up to a language translation challenge.

I too buy from vendor websites, and from legitimate online resellers of their products at what would be considered "normal" prices. Yes, they will sometimes have sales, but never huge discounts. That's typically one of the first signs of a scam... unrealistic pricing discounts... Sadly, some people believe that everyone on Facebook is honest and legitimate. Nothing could be further from the truth. Facebook is the cesspool of scam pop-up ads, and even when you report them, often the FB AI bots reject the claim and allow the ads to remain. Alas, the way the world operates in this day and age.

This is why I do not have a Facebook account and don't care to in the future. These scams are everywhere now and the few places I visit the fewer I'll have to worry about.
Also be aware that some of these ads carry Malware which when activated, are loaded onto your system. Be careful of links from unknown/unproven websites.

There are few vendors I use-if I can't find what I want locally.

This adds another big question mark for me .
On the 12th of Oct my bank account was compromised. thankfully the bank caught it pretty quick, still I have to change everything with automatic payments, direct deposites of my social security and my wifes ss, retirement account.
Not something that is easy at 81:(
