Recently visited the Independence Seaport Museum in Philadelphia to see their tremendous collection of wooden model boats. The biggest thrill was to see their scale models of the U.S.S. Olympia, Admiral Dewey's flagship at the Battle of Manila Bay, and the Becuna, a Balao Class sub built in 1944. Then to go out to the docks to see each of these ships in person. Pics of Olympia and Becuna at the end.
