also from my side a warm welcome here on board of our forum
 
Thanks fellow shipwrights, still finding my way around.
At moment endeavouring to construct a thickness sander. Picked ideas from all round and making sander sleeves to suit. I have canabilised an old belt sander for parts.
Getting ready to make another attempt at build a model of a Loch Fyne Skiff,............ 5th time lucky?
The fun is in the trying...........

Welcome BobFerg. I love Invercargill. Spent time in NZ back in the late 80s. Would have moved there but there was not much work for astronomers back then (or even today).
