After a long time not having worked on building airplane models, I started back on it a few years ago. That has now developed into an interest into "super detailing".
Now already some years ago, my wife gave me the Revell 1/72 scale U-boat VIIC/41 "Platinum Addition". It is a really nice boat with a lot of "super detailing" to do. And luckily there are a lot of resources for it as well. I intend to build the U 1277, because it is the boat my wife dove to off the coast of Porto. Sometime later I may share with you my build.
But first I would like to burning question about some attachment to the attack periscope that I spotted on photos of U 1277 that I acquired. I have not seen it on any other photos of VIIC's, and I wonder what it is, and how it looks like when it is not covered in ice as on these photos.
Maybe it helps that these photos must have been during the training period in the winter 1944-45.
Any suggestions from anyone on this great forum?
