Hello ship builders,

With these few lines, I will try to introduce me as a builder of ships of scale.
At this moment I am retired, 70 years old.
In my youth, at the age of 10 - 20 years, I build several ships of scale, based on drawings.
For my remote controled ships, I used plastic kits.
After my retirement, some 3 years ago, I restarted with the ship building.
At that time it was a kit of the viking Osseberg ship.
Some two years ago, I bought a set of drawings, by Baay, of the Dutch ship called "de Halve Maen".
During winter time I spend some of my time to start building this nice ship of scale.
Some pictures of my building proces can be found on the Dutch website of the "Modelbouwforum".
To come in contact with some more specialists in building ships of scale, somebody advised to join the forum "Ships of Scale".
So I did.

Welcome Bertus from Philadelphia U.S.! This is a very helpful and resource-rich site with many experts in the craft of building ships from drawings.

Welkom, Bertus!

Welcome aboard SoS Bertus.
I can only advice you to start a build log here to come in contact with fellow builders and, if needed, get advice on your build.
Good luck and lots of joy building D' Halve Maen.
