Is there a stigma against building paddle steamers here? Hardly any.

I built the 1980's version of this kit (AL's King of the Mississippi). I started it around 1985 and got the hull done and the first deck. Then it went into storage until 2021 when I retired. A mouse had gotten into the hull assembly which was in a different box from all the pieces and instructions of the model, which were in the same shape as when it went into storage. I had to use urine remover every day for three months to get the blackish color out of the hull. I was able to remove about 98% of it. I purchased from AL their white metal figures for the current version of the kit. Since some of them were in a sitting position and the old version of the model did not have benches, I was able to buy from Al the wood to make the benches. I have enclosed some photos of the finished kit.
