I ran across this youtube video a month or so ago and think it is just plain charming. An 7th grader builds a viking ship for a school project. Does some research, builds it from scratch, learns something and has fun doing it. Not a lot of hits, but I suspect that is from the technical title. I definitely got a warm fuzzy feeling watching it:

That was a very nice film and it makes a change to see a young person doing something like this, even to cutting the green wood and completely scratch-built!

I only just got around to viewing this video and I really enjoyed it. A very impressive model by a young person. I'm going to share this with others and maybe it will inspire other young people to get involved in ship modeling. That was a few years ago and he would be maybe 16 now? I wonder if he did anything further that's related to ship modeling?

Anyway, thanks for sharing this link Pebbleworm!
