Yes Uwek, sadly with the Occre kit of the 1834 ship you will need to add copper plates as an aftermarket, as they are not included in this kit build which is a glaring omission imho. Many Thanks for showing us this new model kit.
A relative "modern" sailing frigate - one of the Heavy one with 60 guns
Not to be mixed up with the well known Jean Boudriot La Belle Poule which was launched in 1765
This one is one of the Surveillante Class which were launched over a period of 35 years!!1

Not "La Belle Poule", but just "The Belle Poule"...La Belle Poule
Glaring omission? It would have added considerably to the costs. Not everyone wants to copper the hull; now one has a choice;-)Yes Uwek, sadly with the Occre kit of the 1834 ship you will need to add copper plates as an aftermarket, as they are not included in this kit build which is a glaring omission imho.
I would say so if to be historically accurately as this ship would have been copper plated without question in this time era.Glaring omission? It would have added considerably to the costs. Not everyone wants to copper the hull; now one has a choice;-)
Need to wait till Cornwall Model Boats or Hobbies Ltd have it in stock, hopefully at a decent price.Copper tape would be a cheaper option.
OcCre sent me the order details, BUT, as it turns out, we 'U-Kanians' (new word for today!) cannot order from Spain. The site allows one to load the basket, but that's it.
