We took a ride on the Lady Washington this last summer, if you are ever in western Washington for a visit, you should check it out. The pics helped me better understand dead eye and sheave rigging. I have many more if interested, one item that made me go "huh" or "duh" was the retractable jib boom. I would be much please if a vendor came out with a kit or plans. I understand she was a close match to the "Fair American" brig.

Fantastic pictures!
The problem that I have with the deadeye rigging is according to the drawing below, there is a particular way to tie the lanyards. I am not able to tie this properly because for every ship I built the rope was too small to get a good finish. The question I was wondering about is whether the ship you visited tied the deadeye lanyards this way:

There did not seem to be as much of the smaller seizing, eye, middle or upper. As I understand the author of that guide was showing the rigging of a British man of war. When I do my lanyard fixing, I just seize the lanyard around the shroud as close to the deadeye as I can. I DO seize the shroud around the deadeye with smaller cordage.
