Welcome onboard SOS, Larry. Please let us know who the manufacturer of your HMS Beagle kit, what scale is it. There are at least three manufacturers who made the HMS Beagle. Ultimately, we suggest starting the building log, this way more members could be a source of help. Just so you know, the build log doesn't have to be from the beginning, you can start from the current stage. What do you think?

First of all a warm welcome here on board of our forum.
A building log is one thread, which the modeler starts and show in more or less regular basis his project, work and progress of construction.
The modeler can show with photos his model and details, others can comment give hints and tipps and give answers if there are questions.

This may not be exactly what your asking, as instructions leave a lot out on how to do the actual rigging, they just give you a lot of diagrams and photos but don't say much.

I am pretty sure there is some references about how to do rigging and reference to many good books on rigging out there.

If you start a build log and post any question and photos if possible, the members here are very good at giving help and advise on how to complete all the different types of rigging.
