OK, to start with I received my kit in great shape, with shipping tape covering clear plastic wrap. The plastic wrap sealed the kit box and made for easy removal of shipping tape. When removed a nicely packed box was left.

When I opened the kit box there were two large boxes and two smaller boxes inside the main box and rotary cutter gift.

Next we will look at the three gift items, first is simple rotary cutter for cutting sail cloth.

Next up is the ships boat, a kit labeled Salamander Cutter, cutter kit is mini kit with build jig and all!

and the cutter instructions shownShips boat inside.JPG

Last for this post is the box with barrels, crates, quilts and crew!

And what good is a ship without it's crew, some 3D crew members!

Part two of kit unboxing, Box 1, Build Jig and Frames

So here is basic box as labeled, nothing fancy but nice sturdy box.
kit box 1.JPG

when opened you see two sets of instructions for the kit, one for box 1 and one for box 2
Box one open.JPG

when removed you see a package of flat plans with some PE inside, a roll of plans and the wood package.

OK, taking out the plans shows the wood package shrink wrapped to keep is secure and undamaged.

Next is a look at the shrink wrapped roll of plans, nothing fancy, well packaged

next is a photo of the flat pack of planes with Photo Etched Brass sheet, more on the plans later.

Now to the stack of wood in box 1, first photo of some CNC parts in separate packaging and a small single piece, not sure what for yet.

Next are laser cut sheets for the frame members.

next up will be several phots of the assembly jig, which seem to be nicely done. My kit was missing two parts E1 & E2, the end of jig assembly, but the missing pieces are supposed to be in the mail already. One interesting option with jib assembly is parts D1 & D2 are side frames and show the ship laser cut in the side panels, but there are small boxes which can be knocked out to leave the jig open to see inside, or you can leave them in place and the jig is enclosed.

Part E I downloaded from the thread on this kit from someone who did receive a full set.

Last but not least is the brass PE sheet, with stove box and several other items.

Very impressive kit, and the support is commendable for this day and age. I'm watching!:)
You would even more enjoy, if you would order the kit and build it by yourself
- It is really one of the best on the market -> you will enjoy this experience

G'day Kurt, that looks like a great kit, and a fantastic presentation of the opening of the boxes, I bet you have many happy hours building her,
Best regards John,
