At last! I've completed my Le Superbe, well, as much as I want, & took longer than I had anticipated. Now she's done it's time for HMS Victory, Caldercraft. I have just received a set of sails by ZHN, supplied by Aliexpress. On first inspection, they look the part, but they need ironing from being folded, & I need to check the dimensions. The set does not include fore & main staysails, which I didn't want in any case, also, reefing strips, head & foot ropes & bolt ropes are left to the modeller's choice. The cost was relevantly low @ £47 inc delivery. I have noticed that a set of sails for Billings Boats Victory from Billings is £200, & that's a smaller ship. I chose to rig Le Superbe with her courses part-furled. The sail set is from Mantua, again no stays'ls. Cost was about £70.
Sorry they're not the best of photos, but the weather changed, (it's now snowing! ) so outside was a no go. It's not often a ship sails past Neuwanstein Schloss in Bavaria!!!
