This kit was purchased many years ago as first ship model to build but due to absolute lack of knowledge was put aside. After completing some models from Caldercraft and Amati I decided time has come. I'm going to build it as is from the box (I'll add the sails - fabric provided) and hope result will be good enough to share:)

I see you made the wise choice to switch from Model Shipways building slip to...well, just about anything else. I have one and even with extensive modifications is fairly unusable.

Looking forward to watching your progress and learning from you.

Yes, I found Amati's keel klamper is more useful and comfortable in this case:) Every model I try to start with MS slip but... probably next time:)

Following with interest as it is sort of similar to my current build of the La Toulonnaise which is also a very old kit.

Many thanks for following my log. I hope to live up to expectations:) Regarding the kit it isn't easy going one - looks very simplified (details and etc), still a lot of measuring involved, drawings look like sketches thus seven times check and one cut rule applied. But overall totally OK :) One point I'd like to add I can't thank Chris Watton enough for modernizing our shared hobbу and making it more detailed and easy:)
