OK, I thought I might start a new thread to help our members find out where others of like mind and hobbies come together.

I have heard of Rocky Mountain club already, and I know of several located over in Europe.

I got into this hobby many years ago by looking in on the local club that meet in my model railroad hobby shop. They were a multiple hobby shop and sold all kinds of craft things.

I lost track of the OKC ship building group when the hobby shop closed.

Please list any model ship groups and where they are located so we can all share our skills and knowledge.

There's a relatively complete list of modeling clubs on the NRG website.

But if your in Colorado, Rocky Mountain ShipWrights resides in Denver. Our meeting are scheduled for thr third Saturday every month at Rockler Woodworking at 9:30am at Rockler Woodworking, 2553 S. Colorado Blvd, Denver. We also conduct a workshop on the first Saturday of every month at 8101 Ralston Road, Arvada (City Hall, Police Dept entrance).
You can me at 303-242-5975 for more details. Visitors and local builders are welcome.

Denver is also the home of the "Colorado Crew", and also meets at Rocklers. They are really into Radio Controlled scale models, some large Military, and even large scale submarines. Lots of knowledgeable people there always ready to offer advice. Call me 303-324-5105.

We are fortunate in Massachusetts. There is the long established USS Constitution Museum Guild which meets at the museum monthly on the 1st Tuesday evening of the month. Further north, there is the Merrimack Valley Ship Model club which meets on the 2nd Saturday morning of the month at the Unitarian Universalist Church on Pleasant Street in Newburyport, MA. There is a less formal group that meets weekly (Wednesdays?)at the Torigian Senior Center in Peabody, MA. There was a Cape Ann ship model club, but I haven't heard from them for some time. For "show and go" modelers, there are a couple of RC clubs, including the Minute Man Yacht Club.

Welcome dblair0211.
I am located in Columbus, OH. My ship modeling club is the "Shipwrights of Ohio" and we are located in central Ohio, but, we have members that join us from Idaho and France. We meet the third Saturday of each month and our meetings are hybrids, in-person & Zoom. We meet in-person at the Westerville Public Library, a suburb north of Columbus. Prior to our meeting, our web master posts the zoom access on our web site, www.shipwrightsofohio.com. At the top of the main page, you will see a note that the access is posted 24 hours prior to the meeting. Click on the button and follow the instructions to the meeting. Look forward to you joining us.
