A friend was just given this damaged model and was wondering if i knew anything about the model or the original ship. Anyone have an idea?

Most probably not modelled after a real ship, but still a beauty in her own right. Worth the trouble repairing her. If you want to make this post into something like a Naming Contest, I'll go for SS "Waking Venus", because of her somewhat disorderly rigging
