Make and mend.

The fix and going forward!

I see you fixed it best way possible, and with follow up work and sanding, I think your repair will not be noticed much when the ship is finished.

Its lessons we have all learned. I think I have broken 6 bulkhead working on planking of my Philly gun boat kit.

Hi, wood is so forgiving, I'm sure I can sort it somehow like you say a bit of sanding. It's quite a challenge even as a beginner build you have to think on your feet and be prepared to make and mend, as I did as a seaman.

In the short time I’ve been doing this, I’ve lost count of how many things I’ve broken or had to hunt down parts for. There’s no local hobby shop for me, but I can get to the big-box hobby stores and find something close, then sand it down and carve it to fit. Most mistakes never seen. Only the people who know where to look can find them
