Does anyone have a good method for making baggywrinkles for small scale threads? I have tried a few techniques with fuzzy yarns and threads etc, but they just don't look right. They feature on the lift lines of the Bluenose and it would be nice to include them and also useful to know for future builds. Thanks.

We had some time ago a topic with the same subject.... please check this out, you might find some interesting information

Thanks all. I think the problem is the scale. I found this stuff which is used for tying fishing flies and comes in different sizes down to 1mm. It looked very good on thicker thread and I will keep it in mind for a future build at larger scale. But, for fine thread, I just couldn't attach it nicely and it just looked like a caterpillar climbing up the rope! I'll have a few more goes, but I think I will be defeated.
