I found this - a great possibility to take a look behind the scene

In the Museum workshop you get to meet experts who will tell exciting stories of coastal culture and archaeology. Join us behind the scenes and view hidden treasures from the collection that are being shown for the first time ever!

The museum is currently preparing new exhibitions concerning life along the coast during the 19th century and the archaeological excavations in Oslo harbour. In the Museum workshop we are preparing objects and planning exhibitions. One Sunday every month we invite visitors into the workshop. Meet the experts and learn about the museum's collections. You will get to hear stories related to the unique items from excavation and archive. There will be stories of the hard pre industrial coastal life and how Oslo harbour has developed throughout the last 500 years.
