I just purchased this kit and it did not come with and instruction book. I have built several of their smaller models but the side planking on this one seems to be different because of the size of the model. Any information on how this should be done. Vertical or horizontal? This is Midwest model #964

Which model is it? Perhaps a picture of what ship you are asking about.
This is a Main Lobster boat Midwest made two sizes of this boat one is 21" one is 30" I have built 6 of the 21" boats and the planking consisted of two large balsa planks that covered the bottom and the side. The model that I am now working on is 31" and The kit contains Three different size balsa planks for each side and bottom. The planking on the 21" boat went horizonal but trying the planking horizonal on the 31" boat does not seem to fit properly. I have built several different other models from Midwest the the planking went vertical but this does not seem to fit properly also?? The Model that I am working on is Midwest Model #964 The smaller model is kit Midwest Model #953. I do not have the instruction book that supposed to come with the kit. They can be viewed on EBAY under Midwest Model Boats.
