Well on to #3 of the series and I do feel more educated and glad I decided to venture in this series! And I would recommend it to anyone!
So I started by studying the instructions before gluing any wood! Then I dived into the build! I do have to say building the center board it’s different from earlier building techniques!

Interesting new project - No.#3 - I will follow with big interest, same like with 1 and 2

Going a little off from the directions and instead of doing one side of the deck at a time I first glued both halves together and lightly sanded the seams then I glued the whole decking to the frames and spine a little tricky but got it done. I did put a dowel in the mast hole while installing decking!,

Finally, I have time to sit down and follow along as you build #3. This looks like a very interesting kit and right off the bat, there are a number of things I like. I like how the rabbet is created (very accurate and no guesswork), I like how the keel is constructed and lastly, your fairing looks very good and thorough. The fact that you describe the placement of the garboard strakes as fun, is testimony to how well the hull fairing was done.

I have some of the original Midwest Products kits, and to make the seats look upgraded, my mentor at local hobby shop showed me to get narrow strips and glue on top of plywood seats, to make them look like they were made from strips of wood instead of plywood. Added a bit of nice detail for low cost and time.

On my Galilee boat, I used thicker strips of different woods and clamped them together.
