While I'm still working on my CAF POF Granada, I am (and probably always will be) looking forward to a future/concurrent build. I've resolved that the next kit I build must have a complete and comprehensive monograph with plans available, such as from ANCRE. I LOVE looking at plans and details, and would probably buy such a monograph in anticipation of building the model in the future, just to read through and enjoy. But I'd like to at least have the HOPE that I could get the kit for it one day. And no, scratch-building is not an option for me.
That said, I've looked at the monographs available by ANCRE, and researched for comparable POF models available for them. I've found two: The La Renommee by CAF and La Salamandre also by CAF. I originally eliminated La Renommee due to the dimensions - 1.23 meters for an Admiralty model minus bowsprit and rigging! But looking closer, those dimensions are apparently for a possible future version with all rigging; the basic model is shown as having a body-only length of (only) 927mm (still a bit large for me, but smaller than some Enterprise models, another possibility). The La Salandre is quite a bit smaller, with a body length of only 650mm. Oh, and the Le Requin chebec, again by CAF, which is 1.21m long fully rigged, but I could not possibly make such a beautiful model without including its bowsprit, sails and rigging, so it's just too big, I'm afraid.
Anyhow, my question is: What other good POF kits are available that have a good monograph, preferably ANCRE, available for them? I think I've caught the obvious ones, but there may be kits of sister ships to those with monographs that am unfamiliar with.
