Hello, today I want to show you the second ship that I made.
After the successful completion of the ALERT ship, I decided to try something more complex and after a short thinking I stopped on HMV's 1:250 scale Multipurpose Ship Mellum. For the first time with that model I used laser cut parts purchased from the manufacturer.

I will show you in pictures what happened.20230910_123657.jpg20230916_131010.jpg20230919_181444.jpg20230919_181458.jpg20230919_181812.jpg20230922_001245(0).jpg20230922_131257.jpg20230922_131518.jpg20230925_170028.jpg20230925_234439.jpg20230926_151948.jpg20230926_152005.jpg20230926_152017.jpg20230929_181302.jpg

Do you find that it's easier to use Lazer cut parts than cut your own and does this increase cost?

For me, the laser cut parts help a lot to make individual details more precisely and shorten the time to build the model. However, this currently leads to a significant increase in costs. Let's hope that the time will come and this service will get a real price.
PS lest we forget that sometimes cutting out some small and complex detail brings you personal pleasure and satisfaction, something we look for in modeling.

Wonderful work! I just received this kit a few days ago and I can't wait to get started on it. I primarily build wood kits but I have found paper kits to be easy to take on vacation as the required tools are minimal. I have a 5 day cruise and a week on the beach in southern Florida coming up in a week. The kit and tools are already packed!
